C&EN Joins the Life Science Industry Awards

BioInformatics LLC welcomes C&EN as a platinum sponsor of the Life Science Industry Awards. A weekly magazine published by the American Chemical Society, C&EN’s global editorial staff tells you what’s new in the world of science and technology.

Here you can read about the October 3 announcement that Bruce A. Beutler, Jules A. Hoffman and the late Ralph M. Steinman were awarded the 2011 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. As a result of years of dedication by these three scientists, the field of medicine has made significant strides in understanding how the immune system works.

And on a lighter note, check out What’s That Stuff to find out how trick candles work, a bizarre use for silly string (this one will shock you) and what country consumes 90 million lbs of marshmallows annually.

Why not meet the staff in person at the Life Science Industry Awards ceremony on November 15, 2011 at the Grand Hyatt Washington?
