ARLINGTON, VA-October 14, 2016—BioInformatics LLC, the leading research and advisory firm serving the life science tools market announced that 40 companies were nominated for the prestigious Life Science Industry Awards®. The winners in 13 different product, service and communication categories will be named at a gala awards ceremony at the San Diego Bayfront Hilton on November 15, 2016 in San Diego, CA.

The 1,500 scientists who cast their ballots for the companies they consider “best in class” are drawn from around the world and are engaged in multiple areas of research in university, government and pharmaceutical laboratories. First held in 2004, recipients of the Life Science Industry Awards® are determined not just by the number of votes received, but also on the performance of their products and the satisfaction and loyalty of their customers.

“This event enables the scientific community to recognize their suppliers as partners in science,” said Bill Kelly, president of BioInformatics LLC. “Winning a Life Science Industry Award has become the benchmark of excellence for companies in the life science market.”

Perennial winners such as Bio-Rad, GE Healthcare, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and MilliporeSigma are present in the list of nominees along with other industry giants. But fast growing companies including 10X Genomics, Biocision and Horizon Discovery are also among those in the running.
