BioInformatics Inc. Honors The “Rock Stars” of Life Science
On Tuesday, November 6, winners of the 2018 Life Science Industry Awards were formally announced at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. The Life Science Industry Awards recognize the life science suppliers that scientists consider best-in-class in 10 customer service, support and communications categories.
The awards were presented by BioInformatics Inc., the premier market research and advisory firm serving the life science industry. The event was attended by 150 industry executives from leading life science companies that produce the “tools of science” that advance biological research and drug discovery. The winners were determined by responses to an online ballot completed by almost two thousand carefully selected scientific customers from The Science Advisory Board – the world’s largest market research panel of scientific customers.

“Many of the companies we honored at the first Life Science Industry Awards in 2004, companies like Affymetrix, Ambion, Amersham, Dharmacon, Invitrogen, have been absorbed by larger companies over the years.” observed Bill Kelly, President of BioInformatics Inc. “But even with all the consolidation we’ve seen, these awards show that the life science tools industry remains focused on the needs of the scientist at the bench.”
“The winners we honored last night are innovators who enable academic, clinical, and pharma/biotech scientists to make new discoveries and diagnosis.” said Craig Overpeck, CEO of BioInformatics Inc. “We’re proud to have supported them as they seek to anticipate and understand the needs of scientists for even more advanced solutions that make our lives better.”
This year’s event was supported by the generous sponsorship of BroadOak Capital Partners and the California Life Science Association.
