  • Description

Description

How has AI shaped life science workflows?  What AI solutions are leading the life science AI revolution? Do scientists truly trust AI?

The latest edition of Perceptions of Artificial Intelligence in the Life Sciences, from BioInformatics (part of Science and Medicine Group) captures the sentiment of life science researchers towards the latest innovations of AI and looks at trends in adoption of AI for personal and professional use. We interviewed over 400 researchers globally to understand how opinions of AI have shifted since 2023 and how AI is utilized in workflows today.

The 2025 edition is a snapshot of current perceptions towards AI and will focus on the following objectives:

  • Gather the general sentiment towards adoption of AI into current workflows
  • Understand the applications in which AI is most commonly used and where there is a need for AI
  • Understand AI workflows and pain points with current AI usage
  • Identify key organizations developing AI or actively employing AI in their workflows
  • Evaluate how AI has impacted purchasing behavior and hiring behavior

BioInformatics designed an online quantitative survey to address the objectives.

The survey this report was based on was fielded to n=408 respondents, members of the Science Advisory Board (SAB) — a segment of the scientific community with a demonstrated willingness to participate in market research activities.
