Thousands of Scientists Vote For Their Best-in-Class Suppliers

Earlier this week we closed the voting for the 2014 Life Science Industry Awards – our big party to be held in conjunction with the Society for Neuroscience annual meeting. In just a little over a week we collected nearly 3,000 completed ballots from scientific customers across the world. The scientists who voted reflect the demographics of the scientific market and the strength and diversity of our panel, The Science Advisory Board. Forty percent of the voters were from North America, 30% from Europe, and 30% from the Asia-Pacific region. To be eligible to participate in the voting process, the voters had to be currently employed in an academic, government or commercial life science organization and currently using products in one of the 15 product categories that represent the broad portfolio of instruments and consumables sold by our clients. As results, the nearly 3,000 life scientists who voted represent a wide range of disciplines and are engaged in many different aspects of biological research, translational research as well as drug discovery and manufacturing. Our talented team of data analysts is currently tallying the data to determine which of the 51 nominated companies are elevated to the coveted position of Finalist. While the number of votes received by each company is certainly a factor in selecting the Finalists in each category, our scoring methodology places great emphasis on the levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty that each Finalist company enjoys.
